The project began with the complete demolition of the old bathroom. After carefully protecting the floors and circulation areas of the house, we proceeded with the removal of the old fixtures, the disposal of debris, and the renovation of plumbing, electrical, and heating systems. To ensure lasting comfort, glass wool insulation was integrated, while the partitions, linings, and ceilings were completely redone. A leveling compound was used to achieve a perfectly leveled floor, ready to accommodate the new coverings.
Step 2: Modern and elegant materials
The choice of materials was crucial in setting the tone for this new space. The clients opted for large-format mineral gray tiles, installed on both the floor and the walls. This uniform covering creates a contemporary atmosphere and visually enlarges the room. The gray, both sober and elegant, highlights the other elements of the decor and creates an ideal backdrop for modern fixtures.
Step 3: High-end fixtures
At the heart of the bathroom now stands a freestanding bathtub with clean lines. It serves as a true design element while offering optimal comfort for relaxation moments. Nearby, a wall-mounted sink unit in matte black finish, topped with a warm wooden countertop, adds a touch of modernity and character. The rectangular white ceramic basin, paired with a black wall-mounted faucet, accentuates the contrast between light and dark and reinforces the graphic style of the whole.
A large rectangular mirror positioned above the unit amplifies the brightness and depth of the room. The walk-in shower, equipped with a discreet glass partition, harmoniously completes the layout by combining practicality and elegance.
Step 4: A play of light and decoration
Lighting played a crucial role in this project. Recessed spotlights diffuse a soft and even light, ideal for creating a calming atmosphere in the evening while remaining sufficiently effective for daily use. Decorative touches, such as a basket of neatly folded towels, a few designer accessories, and a vase adorned with large green leaves, bring a warm and lively note to the whole.
The result
After twenty-eight days of rigorously conducted work, the transformation is spectacular. The bathroom, previously dated and impractical, has become a true wellness space. Modern and bright, it captivates with the harmony of its noble materials, the purity of its lines, and the subtle warmth of its finishes. The homeowners now have a space that is both elegant and practical, designed to last and perfectly integrate into the spirit of their home.
