Why choose Avenir Renovations?
Kitchen Renovation in Geneva: What Work to Anticipate?
A kitchen renovation in Geneva never involves just one area of work. Our renovation company handles layout, networks, and interior finishes. Our method is tailored to each Geneva residence and the constant quality requirements, whether you live in the city center or the heights of Carouge. The Geneva climate, characterized by precipitation spread throughout the year and cool winters, also influences the choice of materials and insulation installed near water points. Some projects also incorporate considerations for accessibility, particularly for a PMR kitchen designed to remain practical on a daily basis, regardless of the age or mobility of the occupants.
Rethinking Your Kitchen Layout
A poorly arranged kitchen wastes available space and complicates everyday tasks. The flow between the worktop, cooking area, and storage changes the entire perception of the room, even in a small area. Our construction professional studies the exact configuration of the space before proposing a kitchen fit-out that aligns with your habits, not a standard plan. Custom carpentry plays a key role in this layout, from the cabinet boxes to the chosen facades. We take into account the orientation of the windows and the location of existing connections to design a coherent layout.
Upgrading Plumbing and Electricity
An aging kitchen often hides outdated networks, under the sink cabinet or behind the cooktop. Before any installation, we check the condition of the pipes, the electrical panel, and existing connections. Our plumbing work covers relocating water inlets, installing a new siphon, or replacing an old column, for a completely new technical base. On the electrical side, we add outlets near the worktop and bring the panel up to current Swiss standards.
Installing Furniture, Appliances, and Finishes
The final step wraps up the project with the installation of furniture, appliances, and the coverings chosen in advance. Each custom kitchen is adapted to the actual dimensions of the room, far from the compromises imposed by a standard model. We adjust the height of the worktops and the placement of handles according to your morphology, while ensuring good circulation around the central island when space allows. We also offer storage solutions designed to utilize every available space, with materials chosen for their quality. Custom carpentry also defines the facades and drawers, for a harmonious ensemble. The meticulous finishes, joints, baseboards, and connections between materials, make all the difference in the final result.
The steps for a successful kitchen renovation
A kitchen renovation in Geneva follows a process quite similar from one site to another, even if each project retains its specificities according to the configuration of the home. Our Project Manager coordinates each step to renovate your kitchen within the announced deadlines, with precise planning up to the handover of keys. This organization avoids downtime between trades, a common cause of delays on this type of site.
Kitchen renovation in Geneva: what budget to plan?
The budget for a kitchen renovation in Geneva varies according to the scope of the work and the level of finish chosen. Several technical aspects come into play, from structural work to final installation. Good planning avoids unpleasant surprises and secures the course of the project.
Criteria that affect the price of a kitchen renovation in Geneva
Several elements cause the final bill to vary from one project to another. Before providing numerical benchmarks, it is better to know the determining criteria, between material quality and scope of work:
- the total area of the kitchen and the number of linear meters of furniture,
- the desired level of finish, between standard range and high-end materials,
- the extent of technical work on water and electricity networks,
- the quality of the chosen equipment, from the countertop to built-in appliances.
Finishes also play a significant role, particularly the choice of flooring or backsplash tiles, two key elements of interior fit-out. These aesthetic choices weigh heavily on the final amount of the project.
