Your Avenir Renovations Basel agency is at your service to carry out all your renovation work: interior renovation, exterior renovation, energy renovation ...
Are you looking for a renovation company in Basel that can handle your project from start to finish? Avenir Renovations operates in both Basel-City and Basel-Country, covering apartments, single-family homes, buildings, and condominiums. One point of contact, a fixed quote in Swiss francs, and over 15 coordinated trades: our general contracting model saves you from juggling between five craftsmen and three schedules.
We are neither a work broker nor a matchmaking platform. We estimate your project, select the craftsmen, establish the schedule, order the materials, control the quality, and deliver a completed site to you. Your quote is free, even in case of travel, and we will get back to you within 48 hours.
Basel has one of the oldest built heritages in Switzerland. A large portion of the housing stock dates back to before 1945: Gründerzeit buildings in Gundeldingen, mansions in Bachletten, Jugendstil buildings in Kleinbasel, not to mention the Altstadt. This architecture has character, but it imposes constraints that recent constructions do not face.
Walls are often massive and poorly insulated, electrical and plumbing installations may be several decades old, wooden floors require special attention regarding acoustics, and many facades are subject to heritage protection rules that limit visible interventions from the street. Classic peripheral insulation is simply not feasible on a protected building: work must then be done from the inside, in the attics or on the windows.
In contrast, the municipalities of Basel-Country such as Allschwil, Binningen, Bottmingen, Reinach, Münchenstein, or Muttenz have more single-family homes from the 1960s to 1990s, where the needs focus on heating replacement, insulation, and modernization of water facilities. Our team approaches these two typologies differently.
A complete renovation easily involves six to eight different trades. Without a conductor, each delay cascades: the tiler cannot proceed until the plumber has finished, the painter waits for the plasterer, and no one is responsible for the overall schedule.
At Avenir Renovations, this coordination is precisely our job. Your Project Manager oversees masonry, electricity, plumbing, carpentry, plastering, painting, roofing, insulation, and ventilation.
A renovation often involves several years of savings. Four criteria really matter: knowing who is in charge, knowing what is actually covered, knowing how much it will ultimately cost, and being able to track progress without having to chase anyone.
Each project is assigned to a Project Manager who remains your sole contact from the first meeting until the handover. They conduct the technical visit at your home, prepare the estimate, select the partner craftsmen, schedule the interventions, control the execution, and accompany you at the key handover. They remain your point of reference for after-sales service.
You have an online dashboard that allows you to track the progress of the project, the milestones reached, and the associated documents. You know where your project stands without having to make a phone call.
The technical visit and the quote are free, even if your home is located away from our usual routes. The estimate distinguishes labor, supplies, timelines, and options, item by item. This granularity allows you to make informed decisions: postponing the bathroom to the following year rather than compromising on the quality of the woodwork, for example.
The amount you sign is the amount you pay. An amendment only occurs if you modify the work program yourself, and it is priced and validated before any execution. If you want to set your budget right now, our estimation simulators provide you with a range for labor and materials in just a few questions. The Pack Sérénité also details all of our commitments.
Financing energy renovation in Switzerland operates at multiple levels, which is precisely what makes it difficult for a homeowner to navigate. The Building Program, co-financed by the Confederation and the cantons, forms the foundation. Basel-City and Basel-Country add their own cantonal schemes, with distinct amounts and conditions. Some municipalities further complement this.
There is also a tax dimension: maintenance costs and investments aimed at saving energy are, under certain conditions, deductible from taxable income, and spreading a project over two tax periods can significantly alter the outcome. Most schemes also require a request to be submitted before the start of the work: starting too early means losing the assistance.
Your Project Manager identifies with you the available schemes and indicates the steps to take. Our subsidies and aid page summarizes the existing mechanisms. Since the rates change every year, we systematically validate the conditions in effect at the time of your project.
We work on an isolated room as well as on a complete renovation, in an apartment, in a single-family house, in a building, and in a condominium.
Interior renovation represents the majority of our projects in the Basel region. It often involves modernizing an old apartment while preserving its character elements: parquet floors, moldings, ceiling heights, old doors.
The kitchen renovation and the bathroom renovation are the most requested. They are also the most technical rooms, as they combine plumbing, electricity, drainage, waterproofing, tiling, and furniture installation. In the old buildings of Basel, relocating a water point often requires addressing original waste columns, a point we verify during the technical visit.
We also handle the renovation of walls and ceilings, the renovation of the living room and bedrooms, as well as the installation of all floor coverings.
The envelope protects everything else. A crack in the façade or a waterproofing defect in the roof will always manifest inside, in the form of moisture or degradation of insulation. Therefore, exterior renovation rarely concerns only aesthetic issues.
We carry out the renovation of façades, the repair of exterior walls, and roof renovation. In Basel, the preliminary question is always the same: is the building listed in the inventory or located within a protected area? The answer determines the colors, materials, and sometimes the insulation techniques allowed. We address this point before estimating costs, not after.
Energy renovation has become a central topic for Basel homeowners, due to the combined effects of energy costs and the gradual tightening of cantonal legislation on fossil energy sources. Replacing an end-of-life oil boiler is no longer purely an economic decision.
On the envelope side, we carry out roof insulation and attic insulation, which remains the intervention with the best cost/benefit ratio, wall insulation, and floor insulation. The replacement of windows, sliding doors, and entrance doors completes the package.
On the heating production side, we install heat pumps, heating systems, water heaters, and solar panels. One rule: address the envelope before sizing the machine. A heat pump installed on a poorly insulated building will be oversized, more expensive to purchase, and less efficient in use.
Renovating often means better utilizing the space you already have. Interior fit-out includes attic conversions, creating a dressing room or a home office, installing a glass partition, or renovating a staircase.
Outside, our outdoor fit-out offering includes terraces, pergolas, fences, gates, awnings, and exterior carpentry.
In a region where land is scarce and expensive, home extension often costs less than moving, including transfer fees, and allows you to avoid changing neighborhoods, schools, and habits.
The extension varies according to the building and the plot: timber frame, brick, stone, veranda, or garage extension. When the land does not allow for ground expansion, a storey addition allows for an entire additional level.
In the canton of Basel-City in particular, urban planning regulations are dense, and processing a permit application can be lengthy. We conduct a regulatory feasibility study before the cost estimation and prepare the file with you.
Four steps, identical for a bathroom refresh as for a major renovation.
1. The free technical visit. Your Project Manager visits your home, takes measurements, examines the condition of the building, and identifies what a plan never shows: the nature of load-bearing walls, the condition of the electrical panel, the layout of columns, accessibility for deliveries, and building regulation constraints.
2. The detailed quote. You receive a complete cost estimate, item by item, along with associated timelines. Nothing commits you at this stage.
3. The execution. The Project Manager sequences the interventions, orders materials, and organizes regular progress updates. Quality control occurs at each key stage, not just at the end of the project: this allows for addressing any defects before they are covered by the next phase of work.
4. The acceptance. A final visit concludes the project. Any reservations are documented and resolved within an agreed timeframe, and your Project Manager remains your contact thereafter.
Completed projects speak louder than promises. Our team has notably completed the full fit-out of a living room in Basel, with a budget of 20,000 CHF and a duration of 26 days. In German-speaking Switzerland, our agencies have also delivered the fit-out of a contemporary terrace in Zurich and the complete renovation of a 70 m² apartment near Fribourg.
Each project profile publishes the budget incurred and the actual duration of the work, two pieces of information rarely communicated in our industry. Browse all our projects to get an idea of what a given budget can achieve.
Our team operates throughout the canton of Basel-City, in Basel itself as well as in Riehen and Bettingen, across all neighborhoods: Altstadt, Kleinbasel, Gundeldingen, St. Johann, Bachletten, Breite, Clara, Iselin, and Bruderholz.
We also travel throughout Basel-Landschaft, notably to Allschwil, Binningen, Bottmingen, Oberwil, Therwil, Reinach, Münchenstein, Muttenz, Birsfelden, Pratteln, Arlesheim, Aesch, Liestal, and Sissach. Our scope extends to neighboring municipalities of the canton of Solothurn and the Fricktal region, such as Dornach, Rheinfelden, or Möhlin.
If your municipality is not listed here, check the directory of our agencies in Switzerland to find the closest location to you.
Is the quote really free? Yes, including the technical visit, even in case of travel, and with no commitment on your part.
How long will it take for me to be contacted again? Within 48 hours after your request. It is the Works Manager responsible for the sector who will call you back.
Can I stay in my home during the works? It depends on the scale of the project and the rooms involved. The Works Manager will inform you during the visit and will adjust the phasing when possible.
Do you conduct energy audits? We carry out energy assessments, which means analyzing the heat loss in your home to prioritize the works according to their actual profitability. Our FAQ on assistance details this point.
Do you work on protected buildings? Yes. These projects simply require a more thorough prior assessment and dialogue with the relevant services, which we handle.
Whether your project is already estimated in your mind or still in the intention stage, the first visit costs you nothing. It often clarifies the essentials in an hour: what is technically possible, what it will actually cost, what assistance is available, and in what order to carry out the works.
Call us at 061 519 01 51 or fill out the quote request form. We will contact you within 48 hours to arrange a visit at your convenience.

17/09/2026Today, I can confidently say that I have not regretted for a single second trusting Amaury. To be honest, at first, I had some apprehensions about undertaking certain renovations in my home. Some of the work was quite complex, and I was particularly worried about the reliability of the various craftsmen and adherence to the schedule and budget. Amaury dispelled all those fears. He provided me with excellent advice, was completely honest, clearly explained the different options, and, most importantly, took care of all the organization. I didn't have to constantly worry or chase everyone: he had an overall vision and coordinated everything. Schedule, budget, craftsmen, and all the little unforeseen events that inevitably arise during a renovation: Amaury managed everything with true expertise. Having a trustworthy contact who mastered his subject was extremely reassuring. If I consider further renovations in the future, I will contact Amaury without the slightest hesitation.
