Why choose Avenir Renovations?
Which awning to choose for your terrace in Geneva?
A successful awning installation in Geneva always starts with the right model choice. Terrace size, wind exposure, and available budget guide every decision. At Avenir Rénovations, our building professional helps you combine dimensions, fabric, and motorization for awnings that last through the years.
Choosing the dimensions and type of casing for your awning
The width of your facade largely determines the model to choose. A classic awning is perfectly suited for standard terraces, up to about six meters wide. Beyond this limit or in the case of an atypical shape, turn to a custom awning, which is more stable when the lake wind picks up.
An integral casing, a mark of quality, completely encloses the fabric and protects it from frost as well as winter showers. A semi-open casing, less expensive, exposes the fabric more to the elements. Large awnings often require a reinforced casing to withstand the lake wind. At Avenir Rénovations, our team always recommends the model suited to your configuration, without ever pushing for an unnecessary option.
Choosing the fabric and motorization for your awning
The fabric deserves equal attention to that given to the frame. An acrylic fabric withstands Geneva's UV rays well and dries quickly after a summer shower. A polyester fabric is cheaper but ages faster in the sun.
For motorization, a motorized awning with remote control saves you from having to handle a crank every morning before going out on the terrace. Some models can be controlled from a mobile app, handy in case of a surprise storm. A manual system remains a reliable and economical option for small areas, without sacrificing comfort. At Avenir Rénovations, our team offers several solutions tailored to your outdoor space.
Where to install an awning for optimal protection?
The right location determines the entire comfort of an awning. Exposure, height, and the presence of a veranda change the game for arranging your outdoor spaces. Before finalizing your choice, you should review a few essential criteria with Avenir Rénovations.
How much does it cost to install an awning in Geneva?
The price of installing an awning in Geneva varies according to the fabric, the box, and the chosen motorization. A standard manual model remains the most accessible, while a custom motorized system quickly climbs in price. Several solutions exist to adapt to every budget.
Price factors for an awning in Geneva
A clear budget avoids many unpleasant surprises once the work begins. Many Geneva homeowners initially opt for a manual awning, an economical solution suitable for small budgets, without compromising on quality, before considering a motorized version a few years later. The width of the facade and the chosen box also influence the final bill.
Estimates and online simulator with Avenir Rénovations
With Avenir Rénovations, our team simplifies this step with an online simulator, which provides a first estimate in just a few clicks even before the on-site visit. Our building professional then refines this estimate during the appointment, offers advice, and provides a custom estimate within 8 days. The execution of the work is then entirely handled by our team, from assembly to the final adjustment of the motorization.
